The project "The gate of languages unlocked" is focusing on three areas in improvement of quality of education and its internationalization. It arose at a school where some subjects are taught by means of the CLIL method, where the new management supports the language diversity and involvement in international co-operation and in international system of education.The project has as its objectives to improve the language and didactic competences of the teachers who teach their subjects partly in English, to innovate didactic skills and knowledge of the teachers of languages, to improve the language competences of the management staff and to allow the teachers and management to gain foreign experience. The objectives are also to improve quality of the school management and quality of projects, to add an international dimension to school, and to improve conditions for receiving foreign students.Nine participants will be involved in the project mobilities: three teachers who use the CLIL method, three teachers of English, and three members of the wider management. Activities will be three language-methodic courses with focus on CLIL, three methodic courses on teaching English, and three language courses of English.At the beginning of the project preparation courses will be held. After mobilities an evaluation will be done, as well as a preparation of teaching materials and dissemination of results.A direct result of the project will be 1) three teachers with better language and didactic competences for teaching by the CLIL method, 2) three teachers with better methodic competences for teaching English, and 3) three members of management with better language competences. These teachers will come back with foreign experience.The outcome of the project will be the improvement of teaching by means of the CLIL methods and teaching English, improvement of competences of the school management for the involvement in international cooperation of the schools, and prevention of xenophobia. In the long term, the results will be projected in the work, the quality, and the prestige of the school.
