Bouger Ensemble 2016. Quand meurt le rossignol. Pourquoi donc migrent les oiseaux?
Start date: May 1, 2016, End date: Jan 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project is part of a cycle of European youth exchanges "Bouger Ensemble" - "Moving together", set up by partners from Romania, Latvia and France. The themes addressed in these projects, all have in common our concern to to deal with our relationship to our environment. Thus, the themes chosen for our last four exchanges were architectural heritage and rural tourism in 2011 in Romania, proximity agriculture in 2012 in France, waste treatment and recycling in 2013 in Latvia, food production and consumption in 2015 in France. On one hand in 2o16 it is our intention to continue our common "quest" concerning our attitude towards the local environment and therefore we chose to work on the protection of the local natural heritage and its valorization through such durable economic activity like tourism. On the other hand, we cannot avoid to propose a common reflection on an indeed hot topic: migration and our attitudes, mentalities regarding this phenomenon. Consequently, our project has been conceived to be consistent with the former topics covered in previous exchanges, because the conservation and enhancement of natural heritage is a major concern in the current environmental issues and that is central to any culture but it also addresses a topic which has become a source of debate and controversies that seem to cause severe cracks within the structure of our common home, the European Union. The event will take place in the Niraj Valley Microregion, in Vargata, near Targu Mures, Mures county, Transylvania, Romania, in the period 7-17 July 2016.A time will be devoted to the presentation of Erasmus Programme and the possibilities offered by this program to youth. Partners can increase their knowledge about the program. They will develop skills enabling them to be resource persons for those who wish to invest the youth field and promote thereby spread. This is an opportunity for us to experience all the tools to optimize the preparation and efficiency of exchange. Some young people have already benefited from these meetings as part of the Erasmus Programme and the PEJA program. They are between 15 and 18, and will be 10 by country. They come from rural areas and most of them face economic, familial, educational or social difficulties. These participants expressed the need for mobility, discovering new cultures, and European citizenship. Most are already involved in the preparation of this exchange. On the topic of their choice, a part of the documentation and activities will be prepared in advance by each participating country (youth groups and supervisors). A common frame work will make easier the comparison between different partner countries in what concerns the differences in mentality, attitudes concerning the two major topics. We will eventually develop this frame during planning visit. During the two-day visit, bringing together a young and one supervisor per partner, we will also settle the final logistics of the exchange. Animations and intercultural workshops will be prepared jointly upstream (games, activities proposed by the participants to the local children etc.).We aim to fosters in all the young participants the awareness of the impact of our attitude toward the natural heritage and the diversity of cultures and religions and the future of our society. This awareness must lead them to develop behaviors as eco-citizens and responsible citizens and tolerant in their everyday lives. The skills developed by young people during this exchange will be a rewarding and useful luggage to their life projects by increasing self-esteem, critical approach concerning such serious issues as those proposed by this project. Finally, this type of project based on international cooperation strengthens our partnership network and the friendship between the young people. Eventually, we plan to enable them to live a long-term mobility, in one of the countries involved, through, for example, a European Voluntary Service.
