PROJECT
FINISHED
The project ‘BORDERS IN MY MIND’ will take place in Trasmulas, Granada (Spain) from the 26th of June until the 5th of July 2015. It will host participants from Portugal, Italy, Turkey and Spain, a total of 24 young people between eighteen and twenty-five years old.
The activity programme includes interviews and visits to different social groups, and also introspection dynamics to reflect on the self knowledge and prejudices about diversity. In this youth exchange we pretend to create a space for reflection in order to offer the possibility to think about disabilities in another way, trying to open our minds to "the other"/"the different". Definitely, this project wants to put the accent on the ´abilities’.
Young people need to be aware of the necesity to fight against discrimination providing an attitude towards diversity as a normality. This exchange will promote an attitude of empathy and combate all forms of discrimination. Also, we will make an audiovisual production to collect the learning experiences of this project and facilitate the diffusion of the project results.
