The overall objective of the project is to improve intermediate culture relations between Latvia and Russia throuhg organizeing educational, cultural events, exchange of experience trips and information spreading about in project reached. Till know Valka Municipality Council in the sphere of culture and education closer cooperation with muinicipalities of Russia have had by organizeing international theater festival "Tālvils" by inviteing theater companies from all over the world. Project partners have been chosen becaus of it's quaet similar sphere of activities and same interests in developeing, diversify their institution work and experience of employees. In common meetings, telephone conversations, correspondance of e-mails both side have agreed that as a main apparent project activity would be organization of two traditionaly in both cities ongoing theater festivals. But the main benefit and attaining the overall project objective will be organization of educatuional events, exchange of experience trips, trainings. To secure succesfull activity organization project working group will be provided of project partner municipalities employees who have had experience as in realization of project in local, as in cross border project programs. Project target grousp will be partner art school pedagogues and students, theater companies actors and inhabitants of partner municaplities. Project estimation could be througt carried novelty in art schools everyday work, obtained evaluation of Valka and Gatchina theaters in other theater festivals. Achievements: Outputs • Two 5-days festivals of amateur theatres “Avant-guard and traditions” in Gatchina and “Talvils” in Valka organized • Two plays of Russian dramatists staged and performed in both partner cities in theatre festivals • 274 participants involved in these theatre festivals • Sound and light equipment for Gatchina theatre hall “Round the corner” and Valka Culture House purchased • 6 master classes and seminars in Valka and Gatchina to promote new approaches and views to amateur theatre actors and directors • 190 amateur theatre actors and directors from Valka and Gatchina gained new professional skills • 4 exchange of experience visits for 10 students and 13 pedagogues from Valka and Gatchina art schools • Book on amateur theatre in 1400 copies, 3200 booklets, 1410 brochures, 8 press-releases and 100 information materials produced • Project sections in Valka and Gatchina municipalities web sites www.valka.lv and www.culture.gatchina.ru established Results • Improved artistry of Valka and Gatchina amateur theatre actors • Gatchina theatre hall and Valka Culture House equipped with sound and light equipment • Valka amateur theatre and Gatchina experimental theatre will organize International Theatre festivals in Gatchina 2014 and in Valka 2015 • Raised awareness of local administrations, specialists and inhabitants in project countries about culture links between parties in Latvia and Russia • Advertisement and thematic materials about culture, history and theatre festivals widely available for local and regional audience • Found new contacts and established new cooperation network between Valka Art school and Gatchina art school teachers and students including exchange of experience visit in future, joint workshops, exhibitions • Trained pedagogues continue teaching other art school students applying new approaches and skills • Promotion of regions through cultural cooperation and joint events
