Bioconstrução na Formação
Bioconstrução na Formação

PROJECT
FINISHED
Project BioForm (Bioconstruction in Training) was born with the intent to endow trainers and technicians at CICCOPN with skills in the area of bioconstruction able of promoting new training methodologies based on multidisciplinary projects. This area, of a growing interest in our days, is virtually non-existent in the training paths in the construction area, which explains the relevance of this project for CICCOPN and all the trainees who come to this vocational training centre looking for a chance to develop their skills and knowledge in crucial technical areas. The main goal is to design and include a training module in bioconstruction in CICCOPN's training offer, which will allow the institution to work on concepts relating to the sustainability of buildings and the importance of environmental preservation, by using different building techniques, as well as studying building materials and their environmental impact. Today more than ever before, given the concerns about the environment (as was expressed, for instance, in the conclusions of the 21st Climate Conference, held in Paris, in December 2015), it is crucial to introduce in training paths topics which promote more efficient practices and thus enhance the sustainable use of the existing resources. In this project ten members of CICCOPN's staff will be involved, divided into two groups (technical-pedagogical team and trainers), and they will be in charge of identifying, organizing and planning the contents to be used in the area of bioconstruction, as well as of promoting new methodologies and learning scenarios throughout the execution of the project, aiming at allowing the introduction of these new concepts into the institution, by means of a new training module. The project is divided into five distinct moments, including the identification and follow-up of the implementation of the new methodologies, the training itself and, lastly, the design of a new training module to be integrated into CICCOPN's training offer. At the end of the project, we intend participants to be more skilled in terms of technical competences in the area of bioconstruction, having acquired a deeper insight into the importance of the ecological and environmental variables for the construction work. We also want our technicians and trainers to strengthen their willingness for collaborative work and to be proactive in introducing new methodologies and new training contents in the institution. In the medium term, we also aim at having our technicians cooperating with trainers from the partner institution through the digital platforms which will be used for sharing and implementing the proposed tasks. The main immediate impact of the project will be the introduction of a new training module in CICCOPN's training offer in the area of bioconstruction, through which the transfer of skills will take place from the partner institution to CICCOPN. On the other hand, CIFP Someso will, at the end of the project, have access to the module created by CICCOPN and will be able to use it in the institution. In the medium term, CICCOPN will submit this module to the Portuguese National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Teaching (Agência Nacional para a Qualificação e o Ensino Profissional - ANQEP), so that it may become part of the National Qualifications Catalogue (Catálogo Nacional de Qualificações), thus making it available to any citizen or institution nationwide. With this step we intend to introduce progressively new learning dynamics which meet the concerns expressed at the 21st Climate Conference (Paris, 2015) in terms of the dissemination of techniques and attitudes promoting the reduction of greenhouse gases in construction work, in a synergy between the construction process and the energy sources used for the construction, maintenance, heating and lighting of buildings.
