BIKE YOUR ENVIRONMENT 2

"Bike your environment 2" is Youth Exchange, that sends green message in the area of Ohrid lake -to protect the environment by using environmental friendly transport devices. Our main objectives are: to change our life-styles by using eco transport; recognize new ways for decreasing the pollution; saving the earth as a place for living, for us and our future generations. Duration of the exchange is 10 days starting from 28th of June, till 8th of July 2013. This green message is to be spread by 28 participants, and 7 group leaders, coming from 7 different countries: Armenia, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Serbia, Spain, and the hosting country Macedonia. Activities starts with ice-brakes and team building between participants, followed by environmental workshops, biking workshops- for participants and from themselves for the locals, what results with GREEN BIKE PARADE. 35 bikers from BYE2 and local students from Ohrid area will spread the message of protecting the environment together in the green bike parade. Part of the programme includes workshops and activities for cultural deferences and EU awareness. Working methods for the predicted activities are in the frame of non-formal education- by creative workshops and practical exercises for problem solving about: eco protection and eco innovation; recycling; identification of polluters of air, water and earth; using resources efficiently. Indoor and physical outdoor activities are about biking and its benefits for the environment and our human bodies. Open discussions and role play methods perfectly fit for recognizing the European dimension, meeting the EU governing structure and institutions, European citizenship and role of youngsters in Europe, as well EU environmental laws. Observing others, and trial-and-error methods are reserved for the cultural noon activities where each partner will share part of its culture how we will ensure development of sense, tolerance, understanding and accepting of diversity.
