The Formatus - AFIIP has partnership with several entities of trainingo and the IEFP in Portalegre. It develops Vocational Training for unemployed with a view to acquiring skills and train them for the job market.
Considering the panorama of the city of Portalegre, lack of entrepreneurism population, absenteeism and academic failure causes resulting from the inherent characteristics of a remote town in Portugal, we decided to develop this project EVS, betting on European mobility and believing that will make the difference not only for the young people who we expect to receive, but also in changing attitudes of our youth.
Effectively the youth will be integrated in the teams that develop the activities referred to in terms of education, art and culture.
The Formatus developed an EVS project of nine months in Portalegre with four young people from Italy, Latvia, Turkey, and Germany that ended in June 2014, so we have experience in this type of projects and recognize their positive results.
Theworkers of Formatus attended the Seminar Contacts "Mobility for All - Contact Making Seminar" by Dynamo international absl, in Namur, Belgium, which were acquired much knowledge and experience and partnerships.
In fact, this project has as partners, the associations which participated in the seminar (France, Belgium and Italy) and partners that have been established, after expressions of interest from young people to participate in the project "Beyond Borders".
We plan to host four youth for six months from France (Volunteer from complicated social context), Lithuania, Cyprus and Italy; and we intend to receive three young people from Belgium for two months each (first volunteer from March to April; second Volunteer from May to June and third volunteer from June to August). Being young participants with few resources Advance Planning Visits will be conducted.
The project partners are responsible for preparing the volunteers who will be trained to match, with regard to the following aspects: values EVS possible cultural clashes, rights and responsibilities of volunteers and all project partners, Info - Kit and participation in the Annual Event of EVS.
The Host Organisation agrees to support volunteers throughout the EVS service. The tutor will be responsible for the adaptation and well-being of the volunteers during their stay in Portalegre. It will also be responsible for monitoring the learning process that characterizes the Young Pass.
The Formatus as Coordinator Project organization undertakes to assume legal and financial responsibility for the project before the National Agency.
This project aims to:
- Promote the mobilization of young people from different countries with mutual interest in social inclusion;
- Create an interaction between the young participants and the local community in which the project will develop;
- Developing multicultural awareness in people of the region;
- Promoting entrepreneurship among youth participants, so that they feel able to develop similar projects;
- Empowering young people with tools that allow them to develop activities
A plan for performance evaluation will be conducted to evaluate the objectives and results of the project by all stakeholdres and avoid problems in the future.
The project will be known by the population in regional, national and international level, through the media and through a video done by thevolunteers who will be available in schools partner Entities and National Agency.
