Our Project entitled “Between the Vineyards” is a multilateral youth exchange within the frame of Erasmus + KA1 project .It is estimated that there are more than 10.000 types of grapes all around the world. Anatolia that has been the homeland of grape and one of the first regions to be grown up in history has got a huge potential of grape production with more than 1200 types. We can clearly understand from mythological stories regarding grape and also as a leit motif on historical pieces of art that the grape culture has lived on the soils of Anatolia, the cradle of many civilizations for ages. This fact burdens responsibility for those countries having a common grape culture to advertise, to understand and to present their grapes.
Though this tradition loses its effect day by day ,harvest time starts with fests in many parts of Europe. Vintage refers to the process of picking grapes and creating the finished product as well as the synonym for the word ‘fall ‘ or ‘ autumn ‘ .The history of this vintage fests dates back to early ages namely to Dyonisos fest in Early Greek Era .This project aims at sharing the common viniculture between the Grape producer countries and presenting their own culture after a further research made by young people of the project participants from France ,Greece ,Italy ,Spain and the hosting country Turkey .
Within the frame of the project the participants will be able to make their contribution during the Manisa Traditional Vintage Fest . The venue of the project will be in our city, Manisa ,Turkey. There will be a total number of 32 participants ,having 4 youngsters and 1 group leader with no age limit and 6 youngsters and 1 group leader from the hosting organisation .Total duration of the activities will be seven days including travel days from 1st to 7th September , 2015 .One of the activities in the project is to include the project participants to take part in some of the activities of the traditional Manisa Vintage Fest .Thus ,we will be able to share our viniculture with the other youngsters .'Cultural Night 'is one of the most important examples of cultural sharing is participant countries will share their cultural presentation within the frame of ' Cultural Night '.This intercultural sharing will contribute to create a common European culture ,preserve and enliven European cultural heritage .Non-formal and innovative methods will be used during the implementation of the project.
