Learning Environments has changed in 21st century. The existence of the universal classes draws attention via various technological tools that have included to learning environments. Students can access to learning applications at the same time in various countries via technology for different branch subjects. The most important part of accessing such applications for the teachers and the students is language skills. Knowing another language instead of the mother tongue is an inevitable need for the teachers in order to perform researches about the learning methods in different countries and access learning materials in different branches. However, accessing such variety on virtual environment brings about another necessity together. By the way it is aimed to interact with different cultures and increase awareness against different cultures.
The IBO program in our school, the language need of our teachers have increased with the objective of “each branch teacher is a language teacher”. The teacher training programs is being performed that will develop the international learning understanding within our school program. Because the teachers who interact the students all the time have to be well equipped in order to develop the international consciousness and gain language skills. Also it is believed that the teacher who programs such process should have such consciousness in order to have international consciousness.
It is aimed to develop the language skills of different branch teachers. Also introducing a different culture, interact and introducing own culture. Transferring the experiences gathered by such participation will leave an important affect both the school and students.
Math, science, social sciences teacher will participate in the project. Branch teachers need scanning different resources especially in their subjects. They are also attending international projects and conferences. It is aimed to get such experiences and to reflect these experiences on their learning environments. Language skills of the teachers will develop by the course program. The teachers will transfer the experiences that they have developed in the projects, jmun, dia and science fairs in virtue of that development. This will be an important step in order to increase the language motivation and improve different point of view of the other teachers who is not participated. Also the experiences will be shared by the students and the families on the internet, school newspaper and iPad applications. Presentation and photograph exhibition is also planned about the experiences of the participant teachers. By the way it is going to be possible to tell the students that learning has no age. Various folkloric materials are going to be brought to England in order to introduce our culture for intercultural interaction. By virtue of this program; it is believed that caring, introducing and knowing local-cultural values and reflecting such acquisitions to family, personnel and students in the activities of the school will develop international consciousness with language skills.
