Ring partnerships are rare in Europe because they require great commitment and they do not work automatically ! They must always be filled by new generations with life and carried on by friendship. Ring partnerships contribute to participation in the democratic polity Europe at regional level. This year's Youth Culture Week will provide many occasions for this reason , to know each other and learn to appreciate and to make new friends. At this year's Youth Culture Week in Grebestein gather 60 young people aged between 14 and 18 years and 12 caregivers from the cities of the Ring partnership, Lezoux, Lopik Sarsina and Grebestein.
An exciting educational day with tasks for mixed , national teams to promote these goals as well as a city rally and sports competitions . A young team of volunteers, social pedagogues and educators is ready to carry out this event.
" The getting to know and make friends - close " is the framework of the cultural week . In the center then there are two issues of concern to many young people intensively in European countries :
1 ) How can I make my professional future - how can I develop my personal skills and they contribute to a future career ?
2 ) How is the professional future marked by economic change in Europe? For example in the area of energy transition an electromobility. What is the impact of these changes on their own career prospects and what skills will be needed in the future?
The above central question set will be processed in the context of company visits , lectures and discussions in the region. The selected companies have regional significance throughout Europe and can exemplarily apply for economic change in the area of electromobility and energy transition.
The participants in the culture week get the chance to reflect on their own professional future and to develop more accurate perspectives for themselves. The training situation in large corporations will be clearly demonstrated, especially the example of the german dual training. Comparisons with the training in the other countries from which the young people come are drawn. Later on the young people can integrate this information into their own plans .
Overall, the participants should take a deeper awareness back home, to be young European citizens who are informed about the economic dynamism in Europe and are willing to actively engage in their home countries for understanding and cooperation in Europe.
