The youth exchange project "Beautiful Moment" will involve 40 young people from 5 different countries: Lithuania, Georgia, Turkey, Croatia and Italy. Different countries with different historical and cultural background were chosen in order to collect people who do not common cultural traditions, especially linked with dancing. The objectives of this project is to show young people that dancing is not only a different type of active leisure or some kind of sport. Dancing can be treated as a relaxing and psychological help giving activity. People who are regularly dancing are more ofter smiling and feeling much more happy than other. The secret of this is that people while they are dancing forget about their problems and spend this period of time only with their clear thoughts. Our project is aiming for participants to understand the meaning of dances and that dancing is much more than step or moves. Dancing does not have any boundaries, it is not only a type of art - dancing can be a formula to happy life. Participants during the youth exchange will teach each other how to dance their traditional dances and what this particular kind of technique means. 5 days of the exchange will be based on 5 different countries with different cultural dancing traditions. However, in addition to teaching each other, participants will be preparing for the grand performance in Marijampolė town to show local community that people from different cultural backgrounds can work and cooperate together in order to achieve high results, in this case - a dancing performance.
