Project 'beAlive' will be conducted from 9 January 2014 till 31 December 2014 while the main project activity will be held from 11 October 2014 till 19 October 2014 in towns of Solin and Split. Various workshops and activities will enable development of skills related to self-esteem, tolerance and self-evaluation of the participants. Furthermore, the projects activities will have a positive impact on exploring cultural diversity, developing solidarity and promoting the fundamental values of EU. Project 'beAlive' - be alive and believe, will strengthen the values and attitudes of the participants towards their own abilities. International and intercultural dimension and participants staying in the house of a host (home hospitality) will additionally boost the aspects of unity, tolerance and EU values promotion. Using wide variety of places to conduct workshops such as: Gospin otok, Salona, ancient amphitheater, Gradine, Manastirine, Zvonimirs home, Queen Helen Elementary School, river Jadro, Marjan, O'Hara Club or Mosor further enhances the impact of the project on the local community because this method of work makes the locals even more sensibilized and integrated into the implementation of project. The project is already now in it's beginning supported by the Mayor of Solin, the Principals of elementary schools of Solin, Solin Red Cross and the Council of Crime Prevention from Solin. Project 'beAlive' aims to educate 32 young people from Slovenia (Rod Zelena Rogla), Czech Republic (Junak skaut), Romania (Society Skaut Romania) and Croatia (OIP Posejdon) by further developing their transversal skills that will empower them as individuals and stimulate their pro active thinking about their roles in their local community through the implementation of regular yearly Scout programs, projects and initiatives, and solving future life and business tasks. During the project, participants will acquire transversal skills and knowledge related to personal PR such as: writing CV, presentational skills, verbal and nonverbal communication, time management, creating journalistic article, giving interviews. Furthermore, participants will acquire skills such as critical thinking, taking an initiative, communication, use of foreign languages, mobilizing overall knowledge, problem solving, teamwork and coping with diverse social processes - skills that are relevant for individuals. The participants will be acquainted with the way of functioning of civil society in the individual partner countries. Jointly, they will develop base of possible future projects as well as annual plans for training in their organizations and personal development plans. The young will master the competences for making a promo video, making flyer's, photo albums, making music for a song and writing the song for the project. They will adopt the healthy living habits of staying in nature, jogging, hiking, fitness and will also participate in voluntary cleaning of Marjan Forest. Moreover, they will participate in charity for raising funds for the purchase of didactical equipment for a special group of students from Elementary School of Queen Helen of Solin. Project 'beAlive' will directly stimulate young people to get active in their organizations concerning preparation of annual training plans for their members, and therefore the proactive roles in their local communities through the implementation of projects, initiatives and workshops. Participants will create educational materials by themselves: leaflets, video and power point presentation, project logo, t-shirts. All the above mention activities will serve participants in the phase of implementation of thematic workshops, and later in further dissemination and exploatation of the project results via Scout Networks, Youth Networks and Council of crime prevention from Solin according to a commonly agreed plan.
