The multilateral project "Be smart, be safe" conducted successfully on 2012 -2014. Croatia, Cyprus, France, Sweden and Italy were cooperating in this program. Romania and Turkey although they applied for the project they were not part of it. Project "Be smart, be safe" increased pupils and teachers awareness about the Internet safety. By the end of this project we believe that we have developed and introduced changes in the teaching methodology in all subjects affected by the Internet safety. More specific the project subjects were a)Increase students' and teachers' awareness about the Internet safety b) Increase - through a interdisciplinary, mutual and peer learning between teachers and students from different European schools – the knowledge of teachers and students on the theme of e-safety issues and the prevention of cyberbullying c) Develop and introduce changes in teaching methodology in all subjects affected by the e-safety topics realizing many practical (and ICT-based) activities and workshops that improve pupils' skills and creativity d) From language aspect, cooperation with other subjects and especially including storytelling with photo, audio and video is regarded as very important Approximately 1500 pupils (10-15 years old) and teachers took part in this project. Persons with special needs or learning disabilities involved in the program and special media. 5 meetings took place during the programme, on Croatia, Sweden and Cyprus on the first year and on France and Italy on the second year 91 students and 52 teachers travelled. Meetings gave them the opportunity to discuss e-safety issues, increase language skills and knowledge about partner countries and cultures. Realized activities: research about the attitudes and students experience with e-safety, development of extracurricular activities in curriculum, public awareness campaigns, creation of educational resources, teacher profesional development.
