The project aims at increasing the reaction capacity of Romanian-Hungarian cross-border population threatened by disasters and natural calamities through an integrated approach. Specifically, the two partners created coordination mechanisms that help combating disaster and natural calamities through a first-aid training component. From a different perspective the project, raise awareness of the population regarding the effects of disaster and natural calamities through an information campaign. Moreover, population in 30 communities within cross border region will be prepared regarding the measures to be taken as a consequence of disasters and natural calamities. Strengthening the cross-border responding capacity to such situations and providing good practices to neighbor counties confronting similar threats, the project represents a premiere. It targets future trainers, professionals in preventing and combating natural threats, Red Cross volunteers and population affected.Main estimated results are: a prevention and reaction cross border strategy, trained volunteers, specialists, people prepared to manage risk situations, support material developed and a website created.
