Be part of the solution was a seven day conflict resolution training that was organized in Germany in December 2015 and hosted 45 youth workers from 12 different countries from the world that have conflicts with each other. The participants were from Turkey, Cyprus, Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Palestine and Israel which are all countries that are in the middle of war, post war reconciliation, political problems and many other challenges. The partner organizations and their participants showed that they want to address these problems and want to learn how. There were many feelings of anger, sadness and hopelessness, but also feelings of hope, joy and direction while the participants learned how to address conflicts. They shared their experiences, and made strong commitments that they will continue working on the reconciliation and peace building. This project showed that it is possible youth workers from different conflict countries to sit on the same table and discuss their issues openly, but also focus on solutions, to be a bright example for their communities. Upon their return in their home countries, they continued the youth work around conflict resolution and implement the gained knowledge in workshops for the local community with small and practical steps doing local projects between the two countries that will be small but should bring the two countries closer together.
