Anadolu University is offering education facilities to disabled individuals according to their special needs from primary levels to post-graduate studies and social inclusion activities. 80 percent of the disabled higher education students in Turkey are registered to the open education system of Anadolu University. One of the primary goal of our university is to include the disabled students enrolled at open education who donot have the same social opportunities and facilities as resident students and avail them of the international youth projects. In this scope, the International Office received EVS accrediation and has started to carry out intensive works to include the disadvantaged young open education students in the youth projects, especially EVS. Our institution will be hosting and conducting the project "Be Part Of Changing Minds – Katıl, Değiş, Değiştir" to include the disabled young people in EVS. The project will be conducted between 01.01.2016 and 30.06.2017 in Eskişehir and in the scope of the Project; seminars, publicity activities will be organised to infrom and encourage disabled local students to European programmes and volunteers works, Besides, guidaance support to candidate EVS volunteers, works with student clubs, menthor meetings, language course, cultural volunteering hour (folk dance, rythm workshops), e-newsletter publishing, visual works will be realized. Thus, awareness and attention will be raised regarding international youth work in Eskişehir, where a huge young population settled. In long term, the project will be provide opportunities to more disadvantaged young people to benefit from the youth projects. 4 volunteers (2 females 2 males) will attend the project for 3 months. Volunteers are appropriate to the project's cultural texture with history of volunteering and experienced on working with disabled people.
