The Euro Akademie Aschaffenburg - Berufsfachschule für Wirtschaft und Fremdsprachen – has been highly successful in providing vocational education for state-certified Multilingual Secretaries for more than 40 years. These past years, the Euro Akademie Aschaffenburg has launched and successfully completed the accreditation process for its vocational programmes for Commercial Asssistants and Euro Management Assistants to meet the regional demand for newcomers highly qualified in administration and languages.
The project "Be part of Europe" is designed for first- and second-year students of the programmes "Multilingual Secretary" (focus: languages), "Euro Management Assistant“ (focus: languages and business/office management), and "Commercial Assistant“, specialised in data processing (focus: business administration). After the first year of training, the participants already have substantial knowledge of foreign languages with a special focus on Business English and Commercial Correspondence in English and French or Spanish respectively. The project will offer the participants comprehensive hands-on experience of working environments and situations in Great Britain, Spain, and France similar to those in Germany as well as deepen the multilingual competence in the foreign languages English, Spanish and French, thus promoting both professional competence and personal development of the students.
The work placement abroad ensures better prospects for the beneficiaries to find employment with European and international companies, working not only at regional but also at national and European-wide level. Using their foreign language skills during the work placement, the participants not only strengthen their language skills but totally immerse in the respective language
The outcome of the work placement is documented through the assessments of our partners and the mentors as well as by means of the europass Mobility. The participants themselves reflect their experiences in weekly work placement reports and take part in an evaluation upon completion of the work placement flow.
Depending on the individual needs of our students, the work placements last 4 to 6 weeks. We offer work placements in Great Britain, France, and Spain based on the foreign languages taught at our college.
