"Be active” is a non-formal program for young people aged between 16 and 25 years. The program will be hosted by association Piedzivojumu parks in (Latvia) in partnership with, Izmir Governorship (Turkey), Association for promotion culture of living “Zvono uz Kupu” (Croatia) and association PRISM from Caltanisseta (Italy). A key aim of the program is to inspire youngsters to use their leisure time in outdoor or in physical activities, to encourage them to search alternative and healthy hobbies and to take an initiative in between other young people by doing the outdoor or sport activities. To achieve these aims, the program of the exchange project will facilitate a free time and sport activities, and hobbies such as orienteering and surviving in the forest, hiking and football, canoeing and climbing. As a result, all of the participants will engage in new and different activities, with the program encouraging enthusiasm, initiative and fresh ideas for the healthy lifestyle and leisure time activities outside in their lives continues. Program will encourage participants to become more active and socially responsible members of society. Methods used will be learning by doing, workshops, presentation of group work and work together. This youth exchange will be held in Kekava region (Latvia) and run over nine days, from the 30th July till 7th August 2014. The exchange will have 24 participants including their leaders.
