This is an EVS project which aims to promote art, culture and multimedia as tools to achieve active participation of young people and involvement in social and democratic life and in parallel to enhance youth creativity and expression, through audiovisual and artistic activities. This project is expected to have a great impact on both the young volunteers as well as the young people from the local community they will be working with, as it will allow them to develop skills and competences that will lead to their personal and professional development, making them more self-assured and giving them a competitive advantage in the labour market. The volunteers will have the opportunity to be part of an open place for all local youth, interact with them and follow a learning experience through non formal learning, peer education, learning by doing, individual and group work, sharing, training and developing their own initiative and workshops for the local youth. Also, by tackling themes like European awareness, active citizenship, youth expression, youth learning development, democratic values, sustainable development and environment and employability of young people, we hope to promote these values and themes to as wider an audience as possible, thus ensuring the longterm and wide-spread impact of this project. The total duration of this project is 14 months, including preparation and evaluation, and it involves 2 youth organisations from Poland and Greece and 2 young volunteers who will be hosted in Kalamata, Greece for 9 months, from 05th of September 2014 to 04th of June 2015.
