In order to explore the social and economic conditions of the cross-border region,standardized primary data collection work is required, conducted using the samemethodology on both sides of the border and supported by primary scientificresearch results, which presents recent trends in the cross-border area, the currentstatus of the population, of enterprises, municipalities, and NGOs as well as their crossborderinteractions, changes in their border perceptions, and their plans for the future.For all this, however, it is essential to collect specific information using standardizedscientific methods along the entire borderline.
