The project BAMPE' 'was held to promote local consumption of food products from school canteens of excellence in order to promote the products "zero km", fresh and genuine custodians of the values of local culture. The strategy of the project focuses on young people of school age (elementary / secondary), as susceptible of the food chain. The children, as well as being the future "buyers", already show a strong power in activating immediate behaviors in the family virtuous in terms of consumption patterns. All parties involved derive utility from the project concrete and lasting: • Municipalities will have a tangible increase the management capacity of canteen services in order to raise the quality of supplies; • schools will benefit from an increase in quality of service table; • Children will enjoy the more wholesome and balanced meals, learn about local production and will be educated in food quality. The main beneficiaries are the agri-food operators, who will enjoy great visibility for their production and management policy of the canteen services closer to food quality. They also benefit from the information that emerged from the research and directions to renew their farming / production. Among other activities, the project includes an initial search, followed by awareness of local producers and educational courses for children. Follow pilot actions to innovate management policies canteen services. In closing the sharing and dissemination of models of intervention and the results achieved.
