The aim of the project – to promote the national identity of the young people and to strengthen patriotism for their countries and culture heritage; to encourage the young people to get deepen knowledge about the Baltic culture and pagan religion between 12-14th centuries: to find out the similarities with Lithuanian and Latvian culture realizing both cultures as Europeans, to reveal the importance of the Baltic land history and culture in nowadays and back in 12-14 centuries.Through variety of activities on local and international level we would like to achieve the following objectives:1. To explore and name the most famous heritage of pagan places in Lithuania and Latvia and make an analysis of them;2. To discover the way of ancestors life and to imitate their casual life during the project;3. To learn to make the jewellery and other decorations typical for the Baltic countries on the 12-14th centuries;4. To analyse, to compare and to stage the rites, rituals of the Baltic pagan religion in Latvia, Lithuania and Prussia and to understand the importance of the religion of people’s daily life in the past and nowadays 5. To compare how culture heritage from past is being still live in 21st century and how things from past could get new breath in nowadays6. To organize event in Lithuania and Latvia after youth exchange introducing local community with gained experience in project.The project involves participation of 2 countries with 28 participants in total. Each country is represented by 12 participants and twogroup leaders. The participants of the project are the habitants of the small towns in their secondary schools. The participants are in age of 13 to 16 years old.The project consists of the non-formal activities. These activities will be performed in mixed groups. In order to better reveal the topic of the project and to involve the participants of different ages into the activities the participants will exchange among themselves during mentioned activities. After the activities the reflection on them will take place, which help the youth to better understand what they have learned. These non-formal activities will foster the sense of national identity of the youth in order to promote the patriotism to their countries and to start appreciate Baltic culture, they will broaden intellectual sophistication, cultural awareness, will try to find out so many common things between two different nations and practice English skills.The project applies the so called learning from others methodology. This methodology does not allow to grow the ego of the youth,encourages to accept different views, learn from each other and develop the holistic approach.After this project we would like to do a few workshops for the local youth where we include them into the activities and providethem with a possibility to spend their leisure time reasonably learning new things that may help in their future professional life.These workshops will let to look at the topic of the implemented project once again (review of Baltic culture in regard to people daily life-style on XII century, their roles in families with rites and rituals, workplaces, the way they were dressed, which dances and songs they used to perform).
