FINISHED
Our school is a school of adults with experience in European Programs. We participated in three Grundtvig Associations. This experience has made us meet other adult education providers with forms of organization and educational offer different from ours. We'd like to know more systematically about these institutions and we believe that a jobshadowing will be the right way to do so.We have chosen institutions providing similar educational offers to our own and others whose implementation could be beneficial for us. In the case of HET Perspectief, we share foreign languages, computers and Vocational Training (Both schools have Body Care and Hairdressing courses). Another thing we find interesting about their school is the cooperation agreements they keep with other institutions in the field of education. In the case of You Net, the only teaching we share is Vocation Training. However, this institution is also interesting for its expertise in the field of youth. One of our weaknesses of our school is the lack of attention to this target group, which has always been beyond the reach of our previous projects. Finally, as said above about HET Perspectief, creating synergies with other local institutions is also one of their capacities. We would like to get the necessary know-how to do the same in our local environment. Our goals can be summarized as follows:a) Improving organizational aspects of our institution and evaluate their possible incorporation to extend our educational offer.b) Improving organizational and methodological aspects in those fields common to the two institutions: language teaching, computer and Vocational Training.c) Learning about strategies and procedures for creating synergies with other institutions and local authorities working in the field of adult education.d) Exploring possible future KA2 projects in common with the hosting institutions.e) Developing and / or participating in projects aimed at young people aged between 18 and 25 approximately. We intend to meet them by visiting the two institutions, with whom we have already contacted and agreed on a visit programme which suits our needs. Three staff members of our school will take part in the visits: the Principal, the School Counsellor and Coordinator of International Programmes. We believe that their positions ensure a better dissemination within the institution. Various monitoring committees will be created for a better monitoring of the impact and a proper assessment. A youth committee will seek to introduce our younger students to the existence of Erasmus+. We expect it to emerge ideas for a project in the field of youth. There will be another committee for the implementation of new projects with the institutions visited, preferably KA2. Another committee will be set to establish relationships with other institutions and / or local authorities aiming at permanent cooperation agreements in the field of education and culture. Still another, which seeks to apply those general organizational aspects observed in visits that seem relevant to our centre. And finally a group of three subcommittees to monitor improvements in teaching foreign languages, computer science and Vocational Training. These committees must submit progress reports to the Head of Departments Committee every quarter and to the Teachers Assembly at the end of the course. The dissemination of the project will be done through the School website but also the facilities themselves will be used for this purpose as large photographs with explanatory captions will be hung from its walls. We will also contact the local press and provide it with both the information and the necessary photographs so the project is published. It will spread among the other Adult Schools of the Balearic Islands in the meetings which the directing teams of these schools regularly hold, and to the rest of the local community by contacting the Teachers Resource Centre and local authorities such as the City Council and the Local Government.
