PROJECT
FINISHED
The project named “Applied Training on Signalization Maintenance in Rail Systems in Europe” prepared by our consortium consisting of three rooted educational institution as Şehit Kemal Özalper Occupational and Technical Anatolian High School, Sivas Atatürk Occupational and Technical Anatolian High School and Gaziantep Mehmet Rüştü Uzel Occupational and Technical Anatolian High School is created together with our host partner Dinicu Golescu from Romania. This project is directed to 11th and 12th grade students of Rail Systems department of the said schools and consists of a total of 45 people comprising 15 people in 3 mobilizations. In this mobility period, there will be an accompanying teacher in each mobilization.
With our project, our participant students are expected to increase their occupational knowledge, gain practical information by means of a considerable applied education and integrate themselves in the business life more easily.
Mainly, in the signalization area which requires an intensive applied education with a practical information, participant students are expected to improve themselves in many areas such as controlling power sources used in signalization systems in the rail system technology, controlling power sources of signal circuits when the required medium is provided, connecting them to uninterrupted power supply and making its settings, managing signalization central facilities, connecting them to the circuit and maintaining and repairing such circuit elements and learning train introduction units, data transmission unit (DTS) and specifications of the traingraph unit. In our country, signalization errors and faulty maintenances are leading reasons of rail system accidents involving such vehicles as metro, tramway and train since it is underestimated. Naturally, main reasons of this situation include lower qualities of graduate students of occupational schools who begin to work directly, insufficient trainings and lack of applied training. However, the project aims to increase the occupational knowledge, increase the school capacity and follow every kind of technical equipment which can support the school’s curriculum. In this way, this project may be made more efficient with the aim of establishing a sustainable and permanent cooperation. Our partner Dinicu Golescu from Romania is a school having the equipment required for all of our targets.
Considering the needs and deficiencies of our school, this cooperation to be established will mainly require a strategic partnership.
The project will be carried out and its obligations will be fulfilled by our project commission and it sub units. This commission will act together with foreign partners before, during and after the mobility. After the project is completed successfully, the “project dissemination” sub unit which is a part of the project commission will carry out dissemination activities in school and in the region.
