DurDuring this short-term EVS project our partner organisations Fekete Sereg HU, Ayuntamiento de Murcia ES, System and Generation Association TR, Arbeitkammer Tirol AT and Altea France FR will send 2 young volunteers each to work in Kokkola for 4 weeks with different kind of environmental tasks. The volunteering activities will take place in Kokkola, Finland 7.10.-1.11.2013 (4 weeks).The theme of this project is European awareness and the objective is through the different activities offer young people with fewer opportunities a chance to do something special and get new, positive experiences that will carry them forward in their lives. We believe that by participating in this project they will get more self confidence, new perspectives and fresh ideas. After this project they will take responsibility for themselves and other people and get more independent. New experiences will give them strength to find new possibilities in their lives. The work in Villa Elba will include different kind of environmental tasks (cleaning environment, renovating and maintaining Villa Elba buildings), but also supporting activities of the centre and helping organize a camp for Finnish children. The volunteers are encouraged and supported to document the project. The document will be about the participants feelings, learning experiences and also about their hopes and dreams about the future. In order to follow up the learning outcomes, the group will have daily evaluation discussions and also a mentoring meeting once a week. With structured and regular meetings and discussions we support and help the volunteers to handle their feelings and learning outcomes.
