Youth exchange project "Astromyths" is about space and myths. In this project, we will try to find a connection between these two things. We started to be interested in this topics for a simple reason - we are fascinated by space and a different culture, where it occupies different places and the importance in mythology, life before us and in today's world . Project goal - to understand more about the culture of other countries examining the vastness of space and ethnological heritage, created about it. The project will take place in five months during the summer and autumn, when we can watch the stars . Exchange will last days and 18 young people from three countries - Greece, Lithuania and Poland will take place in it. Project participants - young people aged 16 to 22 years who live in small villages , towns. Before the start of the exchange we will have 2 -days training , which will be phase of preparation for providing organization , which will organize youth exchange project by it own first time. There we will learn to use telescopes and other equipment . All four partners going to work in the project equally: to deliver the program and the preparation and dissemination / evaluation activities. We will use non-formal education methods , namely - outdoor activities in nature, group work , discussions, art work , etc. . The first four days in exchange we will get to know each other as a team, we will analyze the theme of the project . After we will have activities related to the observations of stars , myths examination and analysis of cross-cultural prism . The last three days we will disseminate the results preparedness ( to go to Vilnius ) in Lithuania and other countries , the continuity of creation and self-assessment . During whole youth exchange we will be creating imitation of the stars on the walls of the house with the myths how those stars appeared in the sky. Youth Exchange will be held in Daugirdiškės village.
