JSC "Grindeks" (hereinafter – "Grindeks") is the leading pharmaceutical company in the Baltic States. Main fields of action are research, development, manufacturing and sales of original products, generics and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Until now development studies of "Grindeks" new medicinal products has been managed and supervised by foreign companies, but in future "Grindeks" will carry it out on its own. Therefore, the aim of the project “JSC "Grindeks" staff mobility for training in the field of new drug development studies” is to improve the professional qualifications and competence of 4 (four) leading professionals of "Grindeks" who participates in research and provides professional training within the company and management of field practice. "Grindeks" is a project applicant and "European PharmInvent Services, s.r.o" (Czech Republic) is a project partner. Project duration is 2 years (from July 2015 to July 2017). The project consists of four activities that will cover the whole cycle of new drug development studies: 1. Training mobility on study planning. 2. Training mobility on study progress monitoring. 3. Training mobility on processing and reporting of adverse events in the study. 4. Training mobility on study data aggregation and preparation of the final report. In each activity one employee will be trained. Implementation of the project will be led by two "Grindeks" employees - Project manager and Leading specialist, both have several years of experience in training project preparation and implementation. A detailed project implementation plan will be made where each participating employee's duties will be clearly stipulated and their execution in set timeframes will be strictly controlled. Project Manager will plan and organize project activities, will manage the project team and will be responsible for project documentation and finance, project reports, and for achieving and evaluation of project objectives and results. Leading specialist will carry out communication with the project partner, will be responsible for project training program execution, training monitoring, evaluation of project participants' knowledge and recognition, further use and distribution of the project results. As the result of project the company's four leading experts will deepen their knowledge on new drug development studies, acquire an internationally recognized latest training methods, techniques and world’s best practices, and will integrate it in the company's personel development and training policies, as well as the company's daily operations and work papers. As a result the company's environment inside will become more modern, dynamic, committed and professional. The company will be more innovative, up-to-date and more strategically thinking regarding professional development of the staff in relation to individual needs and company's objectives. Training mobilities correspond to the "Grindeks" adopted strategies for corporate and personnel long-term development and in those strategies as one of the aim is company's modernization, internationalization, and innovativeness at all levels. In the long term the project will allow the company to develop innovative and globally demanded medications, to engage in international research and development projects, and even affect the future development of global pharmaceutical industry (for example, engaging in the world's experts discussions, exchanges of views). In general the project will enhance sustainable growth and global competitiveness of the company and the country.
