Our project "Arts in Action" its a Youth Exchange that will have 72 participants, including youth and project team. The partnership is composed by 5 organisations coming from Germany, Belgium, Italy, Sweeden and Portugal.The project has 2 activities, an APV and the Youth Exchange itself. Both activities will take place in Portalegre. The APV in May - 27,28- and the Youth Exchange from 22 of July till 5th of August.The objectives we want to achieve with this project are directly connected with the principles of the Erasmus+, because what we demand is that our young participants gain/reinforce, during these 15 days journey, values as Citizenship, Democracy, Inclusion, Equity and Culture.The methodologyto be used is the non-formal education, and the tool will be criativity.Having as "conducting wire" an artistic commitment (the thematic workshops)they will also have the chance to visit, work, reflect, share, behave, live an unforgetable experience of own responsability in a creative and emotional free atmosphere.In the Youth exchange we'll have youth with mental deficiency and comming from children's home of Portalegre. They will show that all the effort done for a real integration/inclusion its worth because, its true, we are all equal... but all different.After some working sessions and interaction with the local comunity and Institutions, our youth will "offer" a public presentation of the final results of the thematic workshops.The theme, the topic of the thematic workshops will be "Tapestries", because in this moment the Portalegre Tapestries are candidates to be considered World Heritage of UNESCO. With this homage we also want to highlight the symbiosis between the project and the local community.
