The youth exchange "ARTbox. Challenge yourself " (Jelgava, Latvia) will bring together 25 young people from 4 EU memberstates and 1 candidate country, i.e. Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Turkey. It will last 9 days. The aims of the youth exchange will be to popularize the significance of contemporary art concerning the development of youth personality and the encouragement of cross-cultural dialogue. Art box is the box with four main components of this Project - music, fashion, theatre and video that we are using. There will be three public events during the project - a performance on the walker street, a fashion show with added value in the culture centre and the participation in the annual Jelgava city festival "Tetra Packs Regatta" with installation raft from tetra packs on the river. Through such non-formal education methods as discussions, workshops on case studies and role play, different performances and other interactive activities each of the participants will try to realize their personal contribution to contemporary art by learning and cooperating with other cultures. These activities will be carried out by the participants from Latvia and each of the partner countries.
