The project “Wings over Baragan – Eurochances for success” answers the need to improve the level of practical learning of VET from 3 agricultural highschools, being partners in a national council, VET, in skill areas regarding the qualification for which they learn, the control of aliments for the students in the senior grade and of modern Biotechnology regarding the raising of animals, health and work safety for the students of 11th grade in order to get skills, new information about what real practice in a modern agriculture means, in the same time gaining a good linguistic, intercultural and learning skill and also key abilities.
This project also answers the need to assure the access of a high quality education for the young people from the countryside, vulnerable groups, fighting social exile.
Its targets are:
1. Improving the skills for carrier perspectives and having more chances of employment for 61 students from Agricultural Highschool Armasesti, Smeeni and Col.AgricolSandu Aldea Calarasi, with an agricultural-vet profile having the purpose of learning in Portugal.
2. Getting used to the background of a future practical activity and gaining relevant and useful work experience for the future carrier and for employment on the European labour market.
3. Strenghtening the national and international connections of Agricultural Technological Highschool “Iordache Zossima” Armasesti, in order to develop the cooperation between the work and professional training world, having a higher attractiveness and quality.
On long term, the main purpose is to improve the field of livestock and the life quality in the countryside with the help of well-trained human resourses, capable youngmen to efficiently implement good European practices, modern technology regarding the livestock, use their skills and valuation in order to develop businesses, modern production farms, having a European financial support.
There will be 61 participants in this project, 18 students from the upper cycle and 43 students from 11th grade, having a vet-technician qualification, level 3, including 70% from the rural environment. (43 students).
Methodology used in the project implementation:
The objectives will be achieved through training activities at work related to the skill of the participants who will focus on gaining full efficiency and a broader impact of the project. It will take place in two companies, combined of production and processing of pork and beef in Portugal under the guidance of experts in mentoring veterinary, veterinary and animal husbandry engineers, all under the partnership ended in 2013 by the applicant and AFPDM / Escola Professional do Montijo, researched by a 4-year MoU.
Practical training meets:
1. The 6th module of modern biotechnology regarding the animal husbandry – for the 11th grade students.
2. The 6th module of veterinary checks – for the senior grade students.
included in the National Curriculum approved by Annex 2 to OMECTS 4463/12.07.2010 and their placement coincides with the one established by the curricula.
The cultural training includes visits and cultural activities in the spare time and weekend as part of the activity.
In Romania, before departure in mobility, a program is conducted of Pedagogic, linguistic and cultural training, being organized and accomplished by Armasesti Highschool and financially supported from the project’s organization.
The project’s implementation methodology (coordination, reporting and evaluation) is based on the applicant’s experience, that is Armasesti Highschool, the project team, which assures the efficiency of the activities, this way helping to successfully achieve the objectives. It describes: the roles in the project, the activities and process needed for their ongoing (selection, recognition, dissemination, etc), the documents which are used (progress, training, selections reports, job description, etc).
For every activity that involves a cost, financial officer from the applicant will be involved in the actual recording operation in accounting and payment services.
The project manager and the financial manager will ensure the development and submission of the final report of the project, according to Erasmus program guide and at its deadline. The evaluation of the project will be achieved through the use of specific assessment tools: questionnaire, analysis of documents.
Sustainability is ensured by multiplying the results, new support material projects, caravan for sustainable agriculture, a new project.
