The project will give students the opportunity to work in other European countries in a different cultural context. The student is expected to meet challenges and to develop skills both academically, linguistically and culturally. The project must be seen in a recruitment and retention perspective, assuming that the ability to get work experience abroad makes our vocational educations attractive to some applicant groups. It is our hope that a traineeship abroad will motivate the students to maintain the education. The student will hopefully begin to reflect and compare her training and jobfunction in Denmark to the training and jobfunction in the host country. We hope that the experience abroad can contribute to mutual learning, understanding and development to benefit both the individual student and jobs in both the hostcountry and the homecountry. The practical placement take place during the last trainingperiod of the education. Each student is in practical placement abroad for 5 weeks.
