The project "Arbeiten, Leben und Lernen für Europas Zukunft" (ALLEZ!) is focused on preparing students and apprentices of Max-Born vocational college as well as possible for a successful future (working) life in the European context.
To reach this aim, students are offered four- to eight-week internships in various European countries; committed members of staff are given the opportunity of an exchange in order to gain new impulses for their teaching methods.
Looking back on several years of experience with international co-operations, this project again offers the opportunity to get an insight into life and work abroad to interested students and apprentices of all fields of education and trades.
Interested students can apply to the project’s management team for a placement in the country of their choice. The intermediate partners will then find a placement within the respective vocational field. Thus, it is ensured that students can profit from their experience not only regarding their linguistic and professional skills, but also in the future, for example in applications when they can prove their international experience using the Europass.
As visitors abroad, the learners are representatives not only of Max-Born vocational college, but also of the culture of the Ruhrmetropolis and Germany. Hence, they play an important role as mediators between cultures.
In order to ensure the best possible preparation of students for working within the context of Europe, it is necessary to enable the teaching staff to collect similar experience. This is why the project also includes the possibility for teachers to go abroad for advanced training.
