PROJECT
FINISHED
Considering our initial challenges around a context of high rates of failure and early school leaving, a large numbers of students from other countries and the incorporation of new bilingual lines, we saw the need to improve our education strategies and integration with the goal of promoting educational excellence and quality and strengthening values and open communication channels between our students and other European students.
To carry out our strategies initially we felt that it should have been 10 teachers participating in mobility activities. However, our project was reviewed and only 5 teachers have been participating in the project. Before submitting the project we had the collaboration of 10 teachers from the various departments of the school, but due to some problems of various kinds, mainly personal, finally teachers who have made mobility have been those who have been able to participate. Some of these teachers teach bilingual groups and others of them is expected to join next year.
Mainly the activities that have been conducted have been included in the daily teaching strategies learned in the various structured courses. On the other hand, they have carried out contact activities with foreing centers contacted through known professors in various training courses. They have also conducted outreach activities of the Finnish educational system known directly by one of the participants in the study visit to Helsinki.
The results have been satisfactory for both the participating teachers and students who have experienced new ways of learning. In general, they have been observed more motivated with the use of new techniques and very interested in expanding their contacts with students from other countries.
Anyway, it is expected that teachers actually put into practice their experience during the next school year, since the mobility activities have been carried out in the second and last terms.
