In our European Voluntary Service project "Let's support the rural development in the Granada valley", which will take place from the 4th of September 2016 to the 30th of June 2017 in Trasmulas, two volunteers, one from France and one from Germany, will participate and get the opportunity to get involved in different activities of non-formal and active education on a local and international level. They will also get the opportunity to create their own projects around creative, cultural or sports activities and co-organize thematic awareness raising activities with children, youngsters and elderly people in the rural area, and to participate in the work on the ecological garden.With these activities we want to revive the socio-cultural life in Trasmulas and the villages nearby in the Granada valley, promote youth participation, the exchange between generations and cultures, the creativity, healthy ways of living, environmental awareness, and furthermore, with the help of concrete awareness raising activities, foster the reflexion on topics that are fundamental for the creation of an equal society.Offering spaces for intercultural dialogue between the international and local volunteers, the professionals and the local community, we approach Europe to the rural area in Andalucia.
