Background to this project is that we live in an increasingly globalized world where knowledge of other cultures, languages and social skills are a necessity. Therefore we want to give our students the opportunity to practice in other countries. A deeper understanding requires more personal meetings between young people from different countries, which can be done in the context of schools or in the workplace. In these meetings is growing understanding that people from different experiences, different ways to evaluate and consider the various building societies. We have chosen England and Latvia because we have good relations for many years with major hotels and shops as well as an orphanage in Latvia. Students meet one day they do not have experience in Sweden. The objective is that we want to encourage and enable students because economic or social reasons are not able to have this experience as it means to go abroad and meet other cultures, walks of life and other social contexts. Another purpose is that we want students to learn to meet people in other cultures, learn their customs and assimilate English in a deeper, broader and more professional level, can become "native speaker". The diploma goals of Trade and Administration program emphasizes that students should develop the ability to manage personal meetings in different contexts. Attitudes, values and attitudes affect sales and service situations because we want to give our students opportunities increased knowledge of the above-mentioned range. Service and communication involves contact between people and countries. Child and recreation program Degree emphasizes meeting between the people and the students will be given the opportunity to reflect and discuss social and cultural issues. The restaurant and food program Degree is a strong international flavor, therefore, should knowledge of food and meals in other cultures included in the program because the industry is part of an international labor market. Participant Our wish is that about 40 students from grades 2 and 3 from Holavedsgymnasiet be able to participate in this project over a two-year period. The students who are eligible for this project must have demonstrated high social skills and social maturity. Our host organizations in England and Latvia, Randolph Macdonald's, Malmaison's, Primark, Marks & Spencer and the Children's Village of Grasi where we are, we have good and professional contacts for many years.
