Workplaceexperience abroad gives our students the opportunity for professional development , cultural exchange and language skills. In addition to individual skills , we could see that this project will lead to the promotion of our school's internationalization. Erasmus gives us the opportunity to support the achievement of the goals of internationalization mentioned in school curricula and Hjalmar Strömer school's vision . In our education is at least 15 weeks of workplace-based learning compulsory. This project makes it possible to promote the development of vocational training by offering students at Hjalmar Strömer school vocational programs ( Trade , Childcare and Education and Health and social care ) ability to conduct job training abroad. We aim that students should be given the opportunity to make their APL in 3-4 weeks. Teachers benefit from this project will be that we promote international contacts while pursuing the objectives set out in the school curriculum . In each of our programs we have program-specific goals to be achieved through this project . All international experience rubs off on the school and education . Today's globalization is placing new demands on our students as well as on our schools. APL abroad will able us to increase the understanding , experience and competence in the following way : • Increased understanding of other cultures reduces prejudice and strengthens democracy and human rights • Students gain increased mobility of labor and increases employability . • The quality of VET is increasing because new methods spread and therefore increases the attractiveness and status of vocational education. • Teachers and school develops through project their own activities, we learn from each other and gain new perspectives , which leads to new pedagogical discussions. • Students may be more motivated to achieve the goals of their courses / training while getting stronger self-esteem and confidence in their ability to dare and act , work or study in an international market . • Pupils' learning is promoted in a natural way • Our partners are very skilled and have high quality of internships. • Our partners can develop their business through feedback and evaluations from all suppliers (workplace, students , accompanying teachers ) We know that APL abroad will benefit the school and students a lot, it gives them the opportunity to improve their language and job skills , they get easier a foothold in the European labor market . The gains for the school locally as well as globally is large then it will give a ripple effect through increased interest and attraktonskraft on programs among other things. We hope that we will be able to take part in this projekt to make our goals become reality!
