Concordia Rhône­Alpes develops different types of volunteering in order to promote cultural exchange and active citizenship of the participants. We are the coordinating organisation for this project, supporting the MFR du Domaine de la Saulsaie in order to host an EVS volunteer from Estonia, Ode Liis Pino. The volunteer will be at the MFR near Montluel (01) for eight months from October 2016. She will support the team missions on raising intercultural awareness and practice of english language for the students, and also organise leisure and educational activities. In this context, the volunteer will have variety of tasks including the presentation of her country, the organisation of exercises in English, leisure activities and games, accompanying students for professional trips. All these activities will remain non­formal. Volunteer will always be accompanied by an employee of the MFR in her missions.Concordia Rhône­Alpes as a coordinator, the MFR of the Domaine de la Saulsaie as a host and EsYES as a sending organization will support the active participation of the volunteer in order to develop her personal and social skills.We expect this project to be an enriching intercultural experience and an opportunity to explore and develop volunteer services to all participants (partner organizations, volunteers and target groups).Thanks to intercultural understanding, we hope to develop transnational links and mobility in order to raise intercultural cooperation.
