An Integral Approach to Vocational Training creating an Innovative Space for Lifelong Learning via the generation of Collaborative Environments in line with the concept of the Learning Region – INLEARNET

The INLEARNET project aims to create the correct conditions for innovation and employment, by improving the relationship between the worlds of training and work and through using local structures as a starting point, in line with the concept of the ‘Learning Region’. Target groups for the project are three-fold and comprise female entrepreneurs, immigrants and young people. Planned project activities include an initial benchmarking exercise focusing upon lifelong learning, the learning economy and the learning organisation; the identification of re-usable learning objects (RLO) and re-usable information objects (RIO); the development of learning methodologies with a focus upon RLO and RIO leading towards the operation of an experimental course; the development of outline skills profiles for Netman (a new professional profile to facilitate co-operation and the management of networks) and Learnman (a new professional profile for the Learning Region); the training of identified Netman and Learnman tutors and the preparation of an IT platform, learning management system and virtual classroom for the project. Project outputs will focus upon the Learning Region and will include a Guidance & Strategy document, an experimental learning framework, a Management & Quality Control Tool, individual skills profiles for ‘Netman’ and ‘Learnman’ and the INLEARNET web platform featuring learning forums, knowledge sharing environments and a virtual classroom. Dissemination will make use of the web platform and of additional web links and virtual bulletins and will also include articles and interviews with press and relevant journals.
