Our project’s aim is to show the example city Hatay where people from different backgrounds, ethnics and languages live peacefully. Hatay is the city of peace, culture, respect. We would like to showed how people live peacefully to other partner countries of EU. Throughout the project they had chance to observe this unique place. We wanted to encourage young people living in the outskirts of Hatay to participate in our project under the frame of Erasmus + and let them know this projec’s aims. Participants who have got different relations between government and religion had a chance to learn how young people of our city from different religions live in one place. Our project participants from different cultures, social background with different languages will have chance to know each other effectively. We showed Antakya where people have learned tol ive side by side dispite their differences. We let them know how we lose our natural beauties in Hatay and to find new and good solutions not to lose them. In ‘Grup Medeni Gençler’ project, there were 36 participants aged from 18 – 30 most of whom have got information and experience about the project. They have got communication skills and they have got experience in projects on different cultures and religions. They all know to cooperate and get on with people from different backgrounds as they have taken part in youth projects before. Our projects took place 21 - 28 February 2015 in Antakya. It took place 7 days from 6 countries with 36 participants. We chosed our partner groups who work with young people whose backgrounds, religions are different. They have experience and good practices to transfer to our project. Our partners were from Italy, Holland, Romania, Croatia and Lithuania. Our project which is on religions and friendship of religions was improving new perspectives of participants through drama activities. They learned to build empathy. We also organised trips to religious and historical places and religious authorities to get information. We have interactive meetings and workshops to provide dynamic environment for young people. They learned to work together while giving their own thoughts. Throughout the project we encouraged young people to work together and to understand each other better. They learned other perspectives and improve communication skills. They learned to show respect to other thoughts. We tried to let them aware the life of people who have got different religions. We showed the survival of different religions in one place. Throughout the project cultural differences, language and social differences are all important historical elements or heritage to keep. We shouldn’t lose these values. These are the values we should follow to realise peace in society. These are the values which make us as people living cooperation. This is the key to peace.
