The main objective of the national youth event followed by 10 preparatory regioanl debates, organized under the 5.1 Action of the Youth in Action Programme, is to facilitate the structured dialogue between young people and policy-makers in order to elaborate the substantial working relationship between local, national and European authorities and young people at all levels. The National Youth Council of Slovenia steers and coordinates the project, but it also relies on the support of its Member Organisations and the Local Youth Councils, who will prepare and organise ten regional debates prior to the national event and feed back the results from the local to the national level. Measures are taken to ensure that a large range of young people aged 15-30 and a broad spectrum of youth organisations are represented at the regional debates and the national youth event, especially targeting young people with fewer opportunities. 80 participants will discuss the following themes: Expressing Creativity and Innovation in of Young People, The Significance of the European Citizenship, Active Participation of Young People, Social Inclusion and Youth autonomy, in order to obtain results which are useful for policy-making. The national event will provide the participants with the non-formal learning experience and will contribute to young people's education, as well as to greater understanding of the social within which they live.
