Οur school is located in the eastern area of Thessaloniki. There are 15 teachers who work in the school and 106 pupils enrolled ( 30% of whom are foreigners and 5% Roma ) . There is also an Integration Class with 12 students with learning difficulties .
Since the start of the school year 2013-14 and taking into account the results of the last year’s (2012-2013) annual evaluation report , the teaching staff held meetings where educational issues were discussed ,problems were identified , solutions were proposed and activities were planned .
The objectives of the school consist of the following :
• Support the educational work of teachers and school leaders through training.
• Particular emphasis will be given to pupils who are in high risk of school and social marginalization ( pupils with special needs , Roma , foreigners , etc. ,)to their integration and equal access to education , to reduce early school leaving.
• Systematic use of modern technology in the educational process
• European orientation and school modernization . Understand the educational policies and practices in other European countries and promote mobility activities and cooperation with European schools. Increase awareness of teachers in the use and capabilities of “e-twinning” platform , and the dynamics of its projects .
The school , building on its valuable experience and aiming at further development , proceeded an done the following schedule :
• Training five teachers of our school in Europe(in person and distance) in methods of education , with consecutive sessions and ensuring the continued support of trainee teachers, for the years 2014-16.
More specifically and taking into account the needs of the school, the following mobilities were done:

4.Attending a seminar in Sweden on’’Individualized Learning in Swedisch Schools΄΄(one teacher)

The selection process of the five teachers were fair , transparent and consistent.
Priority was given to the participation of :
• teachers who are interested in developing activities within the thematic priorities , and
• teachers whose attendance serves the implementation of other mobility projects and especially the preparation of School Partnerships.
Teacher training helped:
• The effective management of educational reality and diversity of resources in school dynamic.
• The exchange of information on teaching theories and practices with other European teachers through the Internet, during and after the seminar.
• The pupils, through an e-twinning action and under the supervision of teachers, had the opportunity to participate in educational projects from other European countries , learn about their culture and also practice their skills in ICT .
• The implementation of the new acquired methods in classroom.˙
Impact
The contact with teachers from other countries and the use of a foreign language is the basis for a European opening-up (we have already applied an ERASMUS KA2 participation and ERASMUS Placement)
the consequences of which are :
• Getting acquainted with the educational systems of other countries
• Contacting with different cultures and thus developing cultural awareness .
•Improving teaching methods , by comparing and adopting innovative approaches .
•A multifaceted development of teachers’ personality . It makes them sources of knowledge and experience , poles of information and means to transfer knowledge of the European mainstream to their pupils . The European reality has changed our roles , requirements and responsibilities , in a political - social -economic -cultural level .
