The main aim of the project "Active Public Space Modernization for Active Neighbors - phase II" is to strengthen competitiveness of partner regions by improving public infrastructure and to strengthen cooperation between partner communities in the border regions. Other objectives: 1/construction of infrastructure in the area of formerly planned small border crossing at Bolcie/PL, 2/construction of a recreation facility at Visciakaimio/LT, 3/building of recreation sites and marking of the Sesupa waterway in Šakiai area/LT; 4/improvement of road access to tourist attractions in Suwalski District/PL, 5/elaboration of economic development of selected cross-border areas. These objectives are also the main activities of the Project. Expected Results: Additional measures: 1/ 3 opening events for the investments (1 PL, 2 LT), a joint conference (PL) summarizing the outcome of the project and presenting economic development plans for the region, 2/joint publicity brochure. Partner regions, local businesses and guests will benefit from project results.
