Active Creative Theatre

Participating in local environment can be implemented thorough different activities such as activism, volunteering, street interventions, questioners; street theatre etc and can benefit the society on higher level. To encourage and activate youngsters we decided to create youth exchange that will talk about active participation, European citizenship in combination with art- street theatre. In the first part of the Youth Exchange we will focus on discussions about participation in local environment, active citizenship and social responsibility (where, how, who...). Participants will be encouraged to express their knowledge and finding ways to promote active participation in the society. Each participant will be able to suggest a local, national or global problem or his challenge. Participant will have the opportunity to give clear expression of their opinions and ideas. Through the pyramid value participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their values, which will enable the easier exchange of knowledge and experience. Reflection, debate, informal conversations will be preparation for the second part of the exchange, focused on how to provoke debate and get people to respond to active participation in the society. Implementation will follow with street theatre method. Where participant will do workshop about street theatre and will implement it in the public and random passers-by to attract them to talk about active participation through art, volunteering and benefits of participation to society. We will use methods of non-formal education: hold workshops, work in small, big and mixed groups, share experiences, give feedback, hold mid and final evaluation, do an intercultural evening. Activities include skills-development workshops on cultural awareness, art and design, self-assessment, improvement of key competences, sharing best practices in creative expressing and project planning, cultural presentations, outdoor activities. We will involve participants in all activity phases; they take an active role in the preparation, implementation of program parts and integrate the results into their activities in their countries during follow-up, dissemination and into new projects. The target group is youth between 18 and 30 years of age. By the end of the activity they will organize an interactive street theatre performance where all the techniques and ideas of creative expressing will be presented to an audience. • to communicate with art • to draw attention to the cultural differences • to provide information, share best practice and experience • to improve social, personal and professional skills • exchange methods of communication with/through street theatre • intercultural learning through creative art- street theatre • to promote the idea of European citizenship • To promote the programme “Erasmus+” as a useful tool for future projects
