ACTIVE - Atlantic Caucasus Technical universities Initiative for Valuable Education (EU - ENPI East)

Atlantic Caucasus Technical universities Initiative for Valuable Education – ACTIVE - project can be considered as an element of common Europe vision, especially in view of introducing former Soviet Union countries. The project aims mainly at launching a research and education network comprising HEIs from the European Union, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia. Most of partners have experience with Erasmus Mundus Action 2 programmes but some of them are new in this kind of collaboration. The power of our consortium consists also in the fact that it comprises members situated over the whole Europe, from Atlantic Ocean (Dublin) to the Black Sea (Sevastopol) and Caucasus. Common education is the best way to improve EU collaboration with its neighbours and promote European values. By this reason ACTIVE consortium is going to promote EU education system and Bologna Process solutions. Implementation of EU procedures like i.e. ECTS and diploma supplement is very important for our cooperation.To make the collaboration network more effective the ACTIVE program is going to focus on engineering, technology and natural sciences. Therefore, the development of engineering has been one of the priorities of countries’ governments. So, there is a need to contribute in numbers of institutes to the quality of higher education. So, there is a need to contribute in numbers of institutes to the quality of higher education. This new, highly qualified workforce in the fields of engineering and technology is the main target group of presented programme. According to our analysis, the goals of ACTIVE project correspond with the main local needs of partner country institutions. ACTIVE consortium has 22 partners: 8 EU HEIs (from 8 different countries), 1 Armenian, 2 Georgian, 2 Belarusian, 1 Moldovan, 6 Ukrainian and 2 associate partners.Consortium intend to do 170 about mobility with Lot5 countries.
