A.R.T. Fusion created this project "Act for what you believe" as an answer to the needs of various organizations across Europe and Africa that are dealing with various social problems and topics and need new methods in improving the situation of young people facing with these problems.During this project members from youth NGOs will acquire a new alternative method - Forum Theatre included in Social Theatre (Theatre of the Oppressed) area - for dealing with social problems/conflicts and oppression.The main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of various youth organization to raise the ¡participation and involvement of young people in social processes and change;More specific Objectives of the project are:fn develop and imprnvp skills in non-formal education in general, and in particular inTheatre of the Oppressed methods for youth workers from Europe and Africa;* To develop a network of Forum Theatre multipliers in various regions of Europe and Africa;« to improve project management, communication, team leading and motivations skills for youth workers» to develop pro-active attitudes among the partners NGO members and also among the beneficiaries of the partners.« to gain awareness of similarities and differences in social problems and kinds of oppression in different European and African countries;- to develop sense of common responsibility for the future of their local communities as well as the whole global community; to think "global" and act "local";' to develop sustainable national/regional/local projects that uses Forum Theatre (Theatre of the Oppressed) as a working method for social interventionTo introduce Youth in Action programme, as a great provider of educational opportunities.Target group of the project:1) youth workers and youth leaders from active NGOs from Europe and Africa that:o have mission and objectives that are related to the improvement of overall situation of children and youth or specific target groups among children and youth;r. have a high multiplicative potential;o Through their activities reach a large number of populations.: This group will be trained to use Social Theatre as a tool for social intervention in various social problems affecting the young people and through this process we are targeting a second target group:2) young people oppressed and affected directly or indirectly by different social problems(violence, discrimination, power abuse, human rights violation, corruption, exclusion, drugabuse, ignorance, etc)- they will be the direct beneficiaries of the project that multipliers (the first target group) are going to implement in order to empower them to find solution for their own problems;
