The project "AIM: competencies" plans for the departure of 30 youngsters in long-term EVS (from 6 to 12 months), 21 in the programme countries and 9 in the partner countries of the European Union.
15 partners, from France, Romania, Georgia, Armenia, Italy, Turkey, Albania, Spain, Algeria, Poland, Tunisia and Hungary will work together to implement this project.
Volunteers participating in the project "AIM: competencies" will have the opportunity to engage in missions whose main topics will be: the fight against discrimination and exclusion and the promotion of European citizenship and Youth. The activities will mix the animation of workshops (games, sports, language, environment and / or culture, tutoring, etc.) and promotion, information and dissemination of the opportunities offered by Europe in terms of citizen participation, programmes supporting mobility, youth initiatives, etc. These activities will be targeted to a variety of audience (children, youngsters, adults) but will mostly target people from vulnerable communities (ethnic minorities, Roma, HIV people, young people with fewer opportunities, people with disabilities, etc.).
Among the participants, 10 are considered as youngsters with fewer opportunities. ADICE, with its experience and expertise in supporting this particular audience, will help them make them go on long-term EVS projects (six months) by providing them with all the support, coaching and preparation needed to conduct the mission.
The objectives of the "AIM: competencies» can be identified at several levels:
Through the mobility of youngsters and their European engagement, ADICE wants to allow all participants to be able to acquire, develop and capitalize personal, professional and social competencies that will be useful for their future projects (return to education, integration into the labour market, achievement of a personal project, entrepreneurship, etc.)
Mixing old and new partners with diverse experiences and skills, ADICE wants to develop its network of European and non-European partners to share best practices and to continue to improve the support for young people, and especially youngsters farthest from mobility opportunities.
By choosing activities that target the most vulnerable populations, ADICE continues its work and its commitment to fight against exclusion and discrimination. At the same time, tasks of the volunteers will participate in the promotion of European citizenship, international mobility and in the promotion of engagement for all. It will also allow to acquire key competencies as : open-mindess, flexibility, adaptability, languages skills, etc. boosting their social and cultural integration.
Finally, the project "AIM: competencies" will be the opportunity to use and expand newly developed tools such as the new online platform of mobility management, for a monitoring and accompaniment always closer to the needs of young people.
