Our application concerns the hosting of five volunteers, which have the knowledge and the experience in the fields of art, music, sports, graphic art, dance, all kind of new technologies, photography and generally in issues concerning minorities and they are willing to work as volunteers with people with disabilities. The volunteers will be hosted for 12 months period in Limassol, where is also located the hosting organization. Sending organizations are located in Austria, France, Spain and Italy. Our organization is set to be the hosting organization and also the coordinator. The program is targeting in specific subjects as art, theater, outdoor activities in all stages (organizing-implementation, promotion-information) and also aims on promoting independent living as well as vocational and social rehabilitation of socially excluded groups. The main thematic of the project aims at the social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities. The objectives will be achieved through workshops, activities that involve and inform the local community about the objectives and by the direct involvement and attending of seminars and other educational workshops, via various articles, by learning the Greek language and also via direct involvement of volunteers with the group of people with disabilities of our organization “Prosvasi”, the young volunteers and other local organizations. These activities are part of the informal learning way and they will be used as the axis for further education and development of the volunteers and also for their involvement in “NGO Prosvasi”, the place that they will offer their services. Additionally one of our goals is to promote the opportunities that Youth in Action programme offers to young people and especially the European Voluntary Service.
