Access to Mobility - Access to Employment is a seminar for youth workers within the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU. Its main theme concerns the labor market and skills and competences for young people to tackle the serious problem of youth unemployment in Europe. During the seminar the participants explore the question of the impacts of the EU's youth mobility programmes in empowering young people to become successful in the job market. As lots of employers are looking for employees who are able to work in international environments and cope with cultural differences the project explores the question of key competences necessary for employability. Objectives of the project are to promote European cooperation in the youth field, to direct public attention to the needs of the young people, to make policy makers aware of the importance of empowering the young, as well as to make youngsters aware of the opportunities offered to them by the means of non-formal learning. The seminar is targeted at professional and voluntary youth workers and youth leaders actively involved in local youth projects and youth policies, who have experience in international youth projects and local non-formal learning. It will take place in Gyöngyös, Northern Hungary and will host 33 participants from Hungary, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Estonia, France and the United Kingdom. Methodology is based on the principal of learning by doing. This principal leads us in the preparation of the participants as well as in the implementation of the activities during the seminar. Non-formal learning will take place using different techniques: ice-breakers and trust builders, brainstorming, workshops, presentations, round table discussions, open space, organization fair, intercultural evening, visits and meetings with local entities, evaluation sessions. The project is expected to attract the attention of young people and local communities on issues closely related to the fight against youth unemployment and the opportunities offered by the European Union in the field of mobility for learning and training. As a result it will promote the dissemination of good practice in youth policies and facilitate long term cooperation and networking between NGOs active in the youth field in Europe, sharing experiences, good practices and concerns, and launch new projects within Erasmus+.
