Acceleration for Mediterranean Companies (ACCELMED)
Acceleration for Mediterranean Companies
(ACCELMED)
ACCELMED project is designed to capitalize MED-KED and MACC-BAM results, and improve SMEs' access to financing, support their internationalisation and help them to accelerate their growth through: - Organisation of 7 Transnational investment fora. These fora will capitalise the results of MED-KED and MACC-Bam projects as starting point. Three will be held in Barcelona, 1 in Marseille, 1 in Ljubljana, 1 in Bologna and 1 in Athens. This action will require defining a common transnational methodology and protocol, studying Med venture capital, selecting SMEs and investors, creating a platform for on-line exchange and feedback among them, and organisation of the forums. - Developing an ecosystem favourable to SMEs' internationalisation, with softlanding agreements . This ecosystem will capitalise the results and outputs from MED-KED and 2inS as starting point. A package of soft-landing services to facilitate SMEs access to Mediterranean markets will be elaborated together with a MOU template for future cross-landing agreements. This definition will be done by means of 3 workshops, 1 hosted by ANIMA, 1 by TP Lj and 1 by PROMOS. - Definition and deployment of an acceleration programme for SMEs with high growth potential to support them in defining the strategy, access funding and internationalise. ACCELMED will offer them a package of individual actions, a global plan of promotion and training. This action includes defining criteria for startup selection and the main features of the acceleration program path and implement the program, which will have tailor-made actions, training courses and tutorship sessions for the selected SMEs. Common policy recommendations for the EU period 2014-2020 will be drafted from the program results. A kick-off meeting and a closing event together with a communication plan will be held during the project lifetime, in order to promote each one of the 3 core working packages.
