This town is located in the north-west of Croatia and it has a population of approximately 5,800 people with various ethnic groups - Croatians, Serbs, Bosnians, Italians and Roma population - and bilingual speakers of Italian and Croatian language.Following-up the achievements of the previous EVS projects carried out in the City of Vodnjan-Dignano and the positive impact on the local community the project has had on the organizations involved and on the participants, the partners, led by the Association Informo, developed this project as natural sequel and continuation of the successful results obtained.Volunteers will be a part of an heterogeneous group of 10 young partners who meet general requirements for EVS programme (age, citizenship of the country allowed to participate the programme, etc.), regardless of their previous experience and background. Participants are expected to have a strong interest in developing the life of the community's members and improving their own skills, motivated to live abroad and in a multicultural environment, working on various tasks (manuals, social, etc.) with an international team of young people.Volunteers will participate in various activities that will be interconnected between the two ROs (Informo and Ecomuseum “Istrian de Dignan”).INFORMO acts in the field of European project management, tackling some social aspects as unemployment, youth empowerment, voluntary work and youth exchanges, also consulting in the fields of tourism, entrepreneurship and vocational education.Ecomuseum "Istrian de Dignan" focuses its activities on the area of preservation of traditions, urban regeneration, valorization of local products, traditional arts, crafts and regional wine&food excellence farming.Even if these ROs are drawing their attention to different dimensions of the society, they are working in network and in a coordinated way in order to create a synergy and complementary to cover all the needs of the local community to achieve a sustainable development.Through these organizations, volunteers will gain experience in the preparation of the cultural events, exhibitions, presentations, tastings, workshops and celebrations as well as in the European project management. They will gain a valuable experience of working as a part of international team and it will significantly improve their language skills due to everyday usage of English, Croatian and Italian. The methodology that will be used during the service will focus on “learning by doing” activities, in accordance with the background of the volunteers, their needs, their experiences and creative learning. Moreover, follow-ups will be executed on regular basis in order to be always updated on the level of satisfaction of each of them. In fact, the Receiving Organization will provide a survey to the participants in order to monitor the progress together with the learning outcomes. The results will be then analysed together in order to improve the quality of the project. In summary, through this project, the stakeholders involved in it will join efforts to develop a common scenario in order to achieve sustainable development and high quality of life by excelling in multiple key areas as economy, social, environment, culture, heritage and democratic participation. To reach this goal, the presence of the volunteers (with their creativity, different visions and experiences) will be worthwhile in order to increase the international dimension of the community and the involved organizations, and to let them benefit from each other experience and knowledge.
